Analog guitar multi effect processor

This was my first big project. An analog guitar multi effects processor. I built it in a time in my life when I had large amounts of spare time. I never got the equalizer to work perfectly, but the effects worked, and I still think it looks awesome. You can't imagine how long I worked on this thing! But, to be honest, it was worth it, because I played the hell out of it in my guitar days, and learned a lot about electronics. I remember very well working on the schematics when I was on vacation in France in 1995.

Front panel items:

  1. Power switch
  2. in
  3. out
  4. input gain
  5. distortion volume
  6. distortion gain and type (knob is lit depending on function)
  7. clean volume
  8. phaser speed (knob is lit when phaser is on)
  9. fuzz (a bit squeeky)
  10. harmonic enhancer (knob is lit when on)
  11. rectifier volume
  12. octave divider volume
  13. control buttons for phaser, harmonic enhancer and octave divider, disguised as depressable leds
  14. control leds for harmonic enhancer and octave divider
  15. VU meter
  16. 3-band EQ, cut/boost range very limited, a fault on my part
  17. master volume

It not hard to imagine I don't use it anymore. I have much better equipment now, and the thing is sitting somewhere, not even in working order, but I think I'll keep it around, just to look at it sometimes. A museum piece. Maybe some day I'll find the schematics (they're somewhere in a junk box in the attic), and put them up here, for everyone to laugh over. Including me smiley
