Dag Joris,

Groetjes

Wim

( Fuzzcraft's reply: bedankt voor de bijdrage. Ik zal het in het artikel opnemen. )

I love your POF ringlite v4.0 but I can't find the fiber for less than $0.75/ft. So 30m would run me about $75! Can you let me in on your secret sources for POF and parts?

Thanks!!

( Fuzzcraft's reply: try fiberopticproducts.com and browse to unjacketed fiber - that's where I got mine )

The sound of neodymium pickups:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-lv9ltZ2cw Just in case you can't make one yourself ;-)

( Fuzzcraft's reply: thanks for that, unfortunately the sound quality of a youtube video obliterates every subtleness! )

Great work with the LED ring lights, very interesting reading.
I want to make one myself, constant light LED's suit my applications better than flash/fibre optics.
Can you do a summary... If I was to do it again I'd do it this way instead... and can you give some guidance as to what LED's to use together with an idea of light outputs.
I have found a supplier of daylight equivalent LED's (6500k) and also see there are higher and higher light outputs, how many and what quantities to go for? Cheers

Hi Joris.
I like the fibre optics macro ringlight. In the past I tried to make one from brith white LED, but I tought it was to less light ( also to less LED as I see yours with 2 rings !!! great)

Now I am reproducing your fibre optics for my Eos 400d with 60mm macro lens. Together with a friend... he works on turning machinery and with POM ( nice plastic ) and he makes an exact fitting ring. I bought 15 meters of fibre at http://www.leds-buy.nl/fibers-c-72.html only € 0,60 a meter.

only need a got connection to my flash, with some sort of bracket.

got another small improvement, my friend also makes a small ring, very flat, of white plastic, that will be on top of the end of the fibres, so the light isn\\\'t that intense bright, but a little diffuser ( like an omnibounce)

when ready, I can make a snapshot of it and send it.

keep on going man.

Looking to build cases for V-Drums (Roland). The only thing Roland sells are cloth bags. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello Fuzz,
I have an idea of making myself a propeller clock like yours after browsing the internet and saw your website. I have found a VCR head drum and disassembled it. Like your picture, the VCR has two parts, one part is a brushless motor and another is a rotary transformer.
The problem is, I don't know how to make the brushless motor run and how to transfer the power to the spinning part. I have also look for the solution on the internet but could not find out. Would you please tell me your method??? Or please show me where I can get the documents??? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advances,
Hai.
